A group of Chinese travel agents was hosted by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau together with SriLankan Airlines recently. The group of 15 travel agents were shown many locations and attractions in Sri Lanka including MICE facilities.

The group had B2B sessions at the end of the tour in Colombo at SLITHM.

“This is conducted under the FAM tours program where we give them a firsthand experience to enable them to market Sri Lanka to their clients,” says SLCB Senior Manager Achini Dandunnage. 

China is an important market and the attempt of SLCB and Sri Lankan were to bring in incentive travel from China which has a high spending over leisure.
