Following the policy to maximise advantage of the Indian fast growing outbound market for both tourism and MICE tourism and the mega

promotions carried out in India, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau together with SriLankan Airlines hosted a delegation of MICE members of Karnataka Travel Agents offering them a round trip to showcase New Tourism and MICE products in the country. “This familiarisation visit was necessary as they are new buyers so they need to see the locations and the country for themselves before they market Sri Lanka for their Corporate Clients,” says SLCB General Manager Vipula Wanigasekera.
