Plotting a course through 14 countries, Lachlan decided to make Colombo Sri Lanka one stop on his journey. His decision was made easy when he was told about the friendly Sri Lankan people and the facilities available at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
Lachlan touched down on 15th August after a 10-hour flight from Muscat, Oman and was met at the Airport by SKAL International Colombo President Dushy Jayaweera. SKAL International Colombo was requested to provide logistical support to Lachlan during his stay in Sri Lanka since his grandmother was a former President of Skal International Sunshine Coast. His stay at the Jetwing Blue Hotel was sponsored by the Jetwing Group who readily stepped forward to support Lachlan in his quest to establish a Guinness World record.
He left Sri Lanka on 17thAugust after a two day stopover headed for Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Broome, Australia before flying home to the Sunshine Coast. Details of his Round-the-World journey could be obtained from his website www.wingsaroundtheworld.com.au”
