Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is expanding with five new-build properties across five countries.
The new additions, all scheduled for completion by 2016, will include the brand’s Western Hemisphere debut, with properties under development in St. Lucia, Dominican Republic and Columbia; its first presence in Bhutan, and the opening of Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain, China at the end of 2013.
The significant growth of the distinctive brand comes to fruition under new leadership, with Wolf Hengst as Executive Chairman and Neil Jacobs as Chief Executive Officer of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.
Hengst, an internationally respected leader in the industry and four-year member of Six Senses Board of Directors, and Jacobs, a 30-year hospitality veteran with long experience in Asia, will work hand-in-hand to shape Six Senses strategic vision and advance its global presence. Bernhard Bohnenberger, President of Six Senses, continues in that role reporting directly to Jacobs.
Charged with fostering the spa and wellness program, Anna Bjurstam joins the executive team as Vice President of Spa and Wellness for the brand.
