The world renowned Shangri La hotel chain has expressed willingness to make more investments in Sri Lanka. Vice Chairman of Shangri La Madhu Rao revealed this during a discussion with Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Ministry yesterday.
Among key issues of the discussion were ongoing construction activities of the two hotels of the Shangri La chain in Colombo and Hambantota.
The progress of the construction was discussed at length and Rao said his company was only too happy to make investments in Sri Lanka.
Minister Karunanayake stated that the government stands ready to extend all the required logistical support to investors. He said that many developed countries had already shown interest in investing Sri Lanka and some had already launched their ventures in the island.
