Loyalty.lk, a dedicated online savings portal operated and owned by Leisure Port, launched its first product offering to the market recently with the introduction of the Privilege Traveller, a 365-day leisure savings card.
It comprises an innovative product concept ,which for the first time integrates many leisure merchant partners from different leisure categories such as hotels and resorts, holiday bungalows, overseas travel, special interests, and dinning and retail and services, to one platform and offers its members year round savings on their leisure spending.
Speaking on this new product offering, Adrian Thomas, founder of Leisure Port, stated what made the Privilege Traveller card different from similar offerings in the market are its key features and benefits. These comprised of its members not being restricted to enjoying savings only during off peak seasons and limited time offers but instead has the ability and flexibility to enjoy them any time at their discretion. It also provided the convenience of payments that are not confined to a specific financial institute based credit/ debit card.
Members are also not limited for choice with the option of having a variety of merchants from differing segments to choose from and an easy retention/renewal policy of the membership, whereby members are not forced upon to have a minimum spend limit to retain the membership and enjoy continuous savings.
Adrian stated that the response received from the merchants had also been very encouraging resulting in over 50 merchants singing up during the first phase of the project. Currently partnering with this venture are a range of top notch hotel chains that comprise of Amaya Resorts and Spas, Uga Escapes, Asia Leisure Hotels, The Colombo Fort Hotels and Cocoon Resorts offering savings up to 35%.
Denesh Silva, Director Marketing and Sales, Amaya Resorts and Spas, the very first chain of hotels to sign up, stated: “We found this loyalty program to be one that is focused on giving its customers value for money and we were only too happy to be associated with such a program. We felt this was an ideal way of giving our present and potential customers the opportunity to enjoy our properties right throughout the year.”
Members could also enjoy 25% savings at a range of upcountry, beach, nature and inland holiday bungalows. Further, for the adventure seeking daredevils, Privilege Traveller has joined hands with Borderlands who offer canoeing, kayaking, rafting, hiking and mountain biking. For the true wildlife enthusiasts, a 30% savings can be enjoyed with Xtreme Nature Tours, an outfit that specialises in camping in the wilderness of Kumana where one could sight leopards, sloth bears, elephants, crocodiles and its famous variety of birds as well as engage in trekking to historical sites of interest, giving a wealth of stunning scenery for keen photographers to take advantage of.
For the globetrotters Gabo Travels, Hemas Travel and Shums Travel operate as the overseas travel partners offering up to 10 % savings on most of their out bound packages.
Members can also enjoy savings of up to 20% at some selected partner restaurants that includes The Floor by O, The Shore by O, The Sizzle, Tsukiji Uoichi, The Voice Lounge, and The Scarlet Room and at some of the partner hotel restaurants out of Colombo.
