PATA wins Best Exhibitor Award at ITB Berlin

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) won sixth best exhibitor in the NGOs/Non-Profit Institutions category in the Best Exhibitor Awards at the International Tourism Fair in Berlin (ITB). The awards were organised by the Cologne Business School (CBS) on behalf of Messe Berlin.

The award was presented on 12 March, 2011, during the ceremonial awards show. A jury consisting of 30 potential tourism managers from CBS evaluated 11,000 exhibitors at the ITB.  The evaluation was based on quality aspects such as booth design, service competencies, information transfer, and creativity. The jury who picked the nominees had undergone an assessment training to ensure the highest level of objectivity possible. The top 10 categories were reassessed by a different team of auditors.

The best Exhibitor Award categories include Germany; Europe; Near/Middle East; Asia/Australia/Oceania; America/The Caribbean; Africa; Travel Organisation; Hotel Business; Carrier; Travel Support and Media; NGO and Non-Profit Institutions, and Best of Best.
