N.M. Travels and Tours celebrated its 12th anniversary at the BMICH recently with the patronage of Adel Hamzah Al Madani, Executive Manager of Makarem Al Madina Hotels Group, Saudi Arabia, who was the Chief Guest.
Having commenced business in 2000, N.M. Travels and Tours has also been involved in social service activities since then. At a time when the SLBC Muslim Service was struggling to survive, the company came forward with a sponsorship for the popular religious programme ‘Ayyamum Telivum,’ which was broadcast every Thursday. Thisprogramme has continued to broadcast live for nearly 600 weeks.
In the 2010 GCE (O/L) exam, 108 Muslim students who obtained 9As were felicitated at a function held at Zahira College Colombo, organised by the Muslim Education Progressive Society (MEPS). The students were given gift packages, and based on a draw, six of them were selected and presented free Umrah trip to Saudi Arabia with all expenses met by N.M. Travels.
N.M. Travels presented 25 students of the Arabic Colleges free Umrah trips to Saudi Arabia to mark the 12th anniversary through Chief Guest Adel Hamzah Al Madani, MPs A.H.M. Azwer, Hassan Ali and M.S.M. Aslam, who distributed air tickets to the students.
The N.M. Travels website was launched by The Traveller Global Private Limited Director M.F.M. Fawaz.
Chairman M.S.H. Mohamed presented a token of appreciation to the Chief Guest, who also addressed the gathering, along with SLBC Chairman Hudson Samarasinghe and N.M. Travels Media Coordinator Ahamed Munawwar also addressed the gathering. The Chairman proposed the vote of thanks.
Ambassadors, Parliamentarians and media personnel were also present at this ceremony.
