Abacus International, Asia’s leading revenue partner for airlines, has signed a new agreement with Mihin Lanka, the low cost carrier of owned by the Government of Sri Lanka.
Through the agreement, Mihin Lanka provides Abacus-connected travel agents access to the airline’s entire published inventory of flights and fares.
Operating from Colombo, Mihin Lanka offers scheduled services to various destinations in the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and the Far East regions, and plans to expand further with flights to Manila and additional destinations in the Indian Sub-Continent during this Summer 2012. They are also looking to add additional aircraft in their growth efforts across the region.
“With a vast travel agency network and extensive Asia footprint, Abacus will provide us with an important distribution channel that will help make Mihin Lanka more accessible to travellers,” Mihin Lanka CEO Kapila Chandrasena said. “Abacus is a valued distribution partner and will become even more so as we expand further in the region,” he added.

The agreement, which takes effect 13 February 2012, provides Abacus-connected agents full access to the most up-to-date routes and fares from Mihin Lanka.
