Mihin Lanka flew Sri Lanka’s Cricket team to Bangladesh to compete in the Asia Cup 2016 which commenced on 24 February at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
Five teams including Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UAE will compete against each other in the group stage while Afghanistan, Oman and Hong Kong did not qualify.
Sri Lanka will play their first match against the UAE today, 25 February. This year’s Asia Cup will be played as a T20 tournament in preparation for the T20 world Cup which will be played in March in India.
