Centara Hotels and Resorts announced the promotion and transfer of Mario Taulien, former Resident Manager at Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui Thailand as General Manager of Centara Ceysands Resort and Spa, Sri Lanka.
Hailing from Germany, Taulien has been working in the hospitality business for over 10 years. He gained expertise in hotel management from various well-known hotel operators such as Intercontinental Hotel in Hamburg, Hotel Bergstrom-Luncburg and Steigenberger Conti Hansa Kiel-Germany. He held an Executive Assistant Manager (Operations) position at Sutera Harbour Resort-Pacific Hotel, Kota Kinabalu-Malaysia before joining the Centara family.
Taulien has been working hard and showcasing his solid managerial skills during his time at the Centara Grand in Samui, Thailand. He was one of the key persons to push forward many successful events and garner major achievements for the resort, including several internationally recognised accolades such as the Earth Check Gold Award 2016 which has been given to the resort for five consecutive years and Thailand Tattler’s Best Restaurant 2015 for Zico’s Brazilian Grill & Bar.
