New Delhi: Malaysia Airlines has been recognised as ‘Asia’s Leading Airline’ and ‘Asia’s Leading Business Class Airline’ by over 185,000 industry professionals in a global poll conducted by the World Travel Awards.
Since its inception in 1993, the winners of the award are selected by industry professionals from over 160 countries who cast their votes for companies they consider to be the very best in travel, tourism as well as hospitality products and services in Asia.
Malaysia Airlines Regional Senior Vice President, South Asia Azahar Hamid said: “We are delighted to be acknowledged by travel professionals as Asia’s leading airline. We are committed to continuous service improvement and delivery, and these awards are testament to the hard work and outstanding performance of employees in providing Malaysian Hospitality to our guests.”
“To deliver what matters most to our customers, we collate customer feedback from all touch points including internal and external surveys, reports from the crew after each flight, and through the customer relations unit,” he added.
Malaysia Airlines has won a string of awards in 2010. This year, the airline was accredited with ‘Staff Service Excellence for Asia Award 2010’ and ‘World’s Best Economy Class Award 2010’ by Skytrax.
It is also recognised as the ‘Best Airline in Southeast Asia’ by GT Tested Awards, Global Traveller Magazine and ranked seventh in the Top 10 Airlines Worldwide category for Best in Travel Poll 2010 by Smart Travel Asia.
