The luxury hotelier brand from Dubai, the Jumeirah Group has announced two management appointments for their new 5-star resorts opening in the Maldives in the first quarter of 2011, that is, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi and Jumeirah Vittaveli.

Located 55 minutes away from Malé International Airport via domestic airplane, or 1 hour 45 minutes away by private sea plane, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in Gaafu Alifu Atoll has a total of 36 villas, out of which, 16 are located on a separate island nearly one kilometer away from the resort, thus giving the impression of a ‘water village’.

Jumeirah Vittaveli which is a redevelopment project of Bolifushi is located in the South Malé Atoll some 20 minutes away from Malé International Airport via speed boat and will culminate with the creation of a 90-room haven painted in the splendours of a Jumeirah destination.

The Jumeirah Group has appointed Stefan Huemer as the area General Manager and Alexandre Hulen as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Maldives. Having had 20 years of experience throughout the world, including the Maldives, Huemer is expected to lead the pre-opening team of the two resorts in the Maldives.  Hulen brings 12 years of international experience within the hospitality industry to the team, and also has prior experience in the Maldives with the Anantara Group.
