With over 70 in attendance, Jetwing Hotels unveiled the latest addition to their chain of properties, Tangalla Bay.
Taking over last year, and having undertaken thorough renovation Jetwing has further enhanced the hotel’s already considerable image as a mystical getaway. Famous for having been constructed to resemble a ship, with decks of cabins, Tangalla Bay is truly a seafaring journey on land.
All those present commended the management of the hotel, for their dedication and commitment to the renovation of the property as well as its increased contribution to the local community. The guests consisted of renowned travel agents and representatives of the media. “It appears to be a brand new hotel!” exclaimed one much-awed guest.
“The refurbishment programme has been immensely successful, and we look forward to extending our much loved Jetwing hospitality through Tangalla Bay,” said Hiran Cooray, Chairman – Jetwing Hotels.
Surrounded by the waters of the Indian Ocean, Tangalla Bay is a hotel uniquely constructed in the shape of a majestic ship. Entering it reminds one of boarding a ship, as the hotel has 34 cabins which are housed on four decks. Each cabin has a large private balcony which provides guests with a panoramic view of the ocean which will leave you feeling windswept and very much at sea (minus those feelings of sea-sickness).
Each cabin will be air conditioned and spoil you for choice with all amenities. Attached bathrooms ensure hot and cold water to meet a guest’s preference. A regular diet of sunrises and the sound of waves present an idyllic paradise holiday away from the noise and grime of city life. The town of Tangalla itself personifies relaxation although it has a busy market and a bustling fishing harbour.
