Proving once again their well deserved reputation as Sri Lanka’s premier hospitality brand, Jetwing Hotels has been awarded 10 Certificates of Excellence from the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor. Having been the regular recipient of these awards for the past few years running, the following Jetwing hotels were certified recently – Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions, Jetwing Beach, Jetwing Blue, Jetwing Lagoon, Jetwing Sea, Jetwing Lighthouse, Era Beach by Jetwing, Jetwing Yala, Jetwing Vil Uyana, Jetwing St. Andrew’s and Jetwing Warwick Gardens. To further the achievement, 2015 marks the year in which three Jetwing properties enter the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame – Jetwing Beach, Jetwing Vil Uyana and Jetwing Warwick Gardens.
An accomplishment in its own right, the total of 10 Certificates of Excellence, marks Jetwing Hotels as one of the most acclaimed resort chains in Sri Lanka. The criteria for the certificates are simple, yet complex as they require a consistent high ranking in quality reviews as well as user rating. The Certificate of Excellence award is given to outstanding hospitality businesses that have received praise and recognition in reviews by TripAdvisor travellers.
To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months. The vision set forth 40 years ago has undeniably grown, with this family owned company embarking on a remarkable expansion drive to double room inventory within the next three years. The Hall of Fame criteria is more complex, requiring a long history of excellence as rated by independent reviewers, with properties having to win the Certificate of Excellence five times.
Head of Sales and Marketing Ishanth Gunewardene remarked on the company’s achievement by saying, “We and hospitality providers around the world depend heavily on TripAdvisor for honest and independent feedback. Today, customer service is more important than ever, and we are proud that our guests have rated their stays with us so highly. I congratulate our associates, for their commitment and dedication to our visitors – all of which enhances Sri Lanka’s reputation for hospitality even further.”
