Island Leisure turns one

Island Leisure Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., a destination management company, recently completed its first year in service.

Tourism, hospitality and service industry was the regular field of work for Chandana Amaradasa, a versatile character in travel trade, as an hotelier, consultant and lecturer on tourism who ventured into his own business operations with the launch of Island Leisure.

“The reason for our presence in the trade is simply because we love it.

And we as a team believe in innovative tourism products which need to be promoted in the global market,” said Amaradasa, who is the Managing Director of the company.

While moving ahead with its usual itineraries on culture and heritage, Island Leisure seeks every opportunity to be innovative and creative in designing a tour package.

Within a year of successful tour operations it has handled around 2,500 guests and looks forward to establishing genuine friendships with each guest, which makes a world of difference.

With its concentration on sports tourism, Island Leisure offers adventure, golf and cricket tour packages featuring variation and innovation.

As an active sportsman who has immensely contributed to sporting bodies in Sri Lanka, Amaradasa brings a wealth of experience into sports tour operations.

When it comes to cricket tours, the company offers packages for both professional and fun cricketers.

It also handles national cricket teams with professional coaching camps and consultant coaches, including all necessary requirements.

The company’s goal is to be within the top 10 inbound operators in Sri Lanka six years from now.
