HSBC announces inaugural travel partnership with Malaysia Airlines

Following HSBC’s latest travel campaign, ‘unparalleled travel experiences’ the bank has partnered with Malaysia Airlines to enable HSBC Premier, Signature, Advance and Gold credit cardholders apt travel benefits. HSBC Premier and Signature Cardholders will be entitled to an exclusive ‘Cardholder Flies Free’ deal with the purchase of two or more return business class air tickets until 7 February 2014. When flying with Malaysia Airlines cardholders can enjoy exceptional travel with 5-star amenities that include exclusive check-in privileges, fine dining, in-flight duty free shopping and entertainment to spacious comfort on board that make travelling a breeze. Furthermore, with baggage allowance of 40 kilograms plus a two-piece hand-carry allowance (max 7 kilograms each) cardholders are ensured of ample space for their belongings. More importantly, with 10 flights scheduled each week out of Colombo (including two flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday), cardholders can choose to travel at their own convenience from 1 March to 4 April 2014 to the following destinations - Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong, Guanzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Seoul, Osaka, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Los Angeles and London. Whilst the ‘Cardholder Flies Free’ deal remains exclusive to all HSBC Premier and Visa Signature cardholders, HSBC Advance, Platinum and Gold cardholders will be entitled to a 22% saving when they purchase return business class tickets to any of the mentioned destinations during the specified promo period. To enhance the travel experience cardholders (HSBC Visa Signature) receive complimentary toll tickets along the Colombo-Katunayake Airport Expressway on departure and arrival if the customer users the HSBC Signature card to purchase the air ticket, a 15% saving on shopping bills over $ 140 at the Duty Free, free access to the Lotus Lounge at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with the usage of the priority pass and free reflexology at the Foot Rub at BIA.
