Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air has expanded its operations to Pakistan with the addition of two new routes: Multan and Faisalabad, said a report.
The inaugural flight to the two cities Multan and Faisalabad were welcomed with a celebratory water cannon salute, said a report in Bahrain News Agency.
Taking the airline’s total Pakistan destinations up to seven, Multan and Faisalabad supplement Gulf Air’s current service to five cities in Pakistan: Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, Peshawar and Sialkot.
Gulf Air flights to Multan, Pakistan’s fifth largest city by population, and Faisalabad, a major industrial and manufacturing hub, are operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, it said.
