George Steuart Travel, the 43-year-old travel arm of George Steuart and Co, the oldest mercantile establishment in Sri Lanka, was recognised at the Annual Passenger Sales Award Ceremony hosted by Singapore Airlines at the Colombo Hilton recently with the Gold Award for Best Passenger Sales.
George Steuart Travel grabbed the No.1 position for the fourth consecutive year, reiterating its consistent commitment towards service excellence. Classic Travels won Silver and Gabo Travels won Bronze, The Merit award winners were Hemas Travels, MacKinnon’s Travels, Metro Travels, World link Travels, BG Air, 2nd Chance Travels and Traveler Global.
George Steuart Travel Ltd. Director/CEO Channe Wijemanne accepted the award from Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President West Asia and Africa Joey Seow. Aitken Spence Aviation Ltd. Chairman and Aitken Spence PLC Deputy Chairman J.M.S Brito, Singapore Airlines General Manager Richard Kwee and Aitken Spence Ltd. Managing Director Keethi Jayaweera were among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion.
