It was a night of pure celebration amalgamated with the showcasing of some amazing talent as the 24th National Bartenders Cocktail Competition 2016 held its All Island finals at the Water’s Edge. This spectacular event was organised by the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association in association with the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management.
Young Anuradha Kumarasinghe from the Galadari Hotel brought honor and pride to the hotel once more after he secured the 1st Runner Up position for the category ‘Flaring’ at the Colombo Region selection for the National Bartenders Seminar and Cocktail Competition 2016, held at the Ramada Colombo. Anuradha brought glory to Galadari once again by bagging the 2nd Runner Up position in Flair Tending at the All Island finals.
Anuradha whilst thanking the management of the hotel with a great deal of gratitude given to his trainers Clive and Kavinda said he would like to take this opportunity to thank his alma mater Sri Vidya Raja Maha Vidyalaya and Ibbagamuwa Central College both located in the District of Kurunegala.
Commenting on his success Clive De Costa, Restaurants Training Manager of Galadari said, “I am proud of his achievement especially because he is a newcomer and a young talent who will definitely go a long way. This will undoubtedly be a stepping stone in his life to achieve greater heights.”
In conclusion Kavinda Rankothdevella, Manager Training and Development said, “This achievement is not only an honor to the hotel but also a great triumph for Anuradha and an encouragement to the rest of the staff to push their limits and achieve greater potential in their careers.”
