Senior corporate sector personality Anthony Cassius Fernando, General Manager of the Bank of Ceylon, was the winner of a free return ticket to Singapore from Emirates at the conclusion of a promotion conducted by the Dubai-based airline in collaboration with Chartis Insurance.
Fernando qualified to participate in the promotion by purchasing Travel Guard insurance when he flew Emirates on a previous overseas trip. The promotion was organised to create more awareness of the value of travel insurance and to reward Emirates passengers who responded by taking travel insurance from Chartis.
The winner of more than 400 major international awards, Emirates operates 21 services a week between Colombo and Dubai, and daily flights to Singapore, making a total of 28 flights a week to and from Sri Lanka. The Emirates network now serves 111 destinations on six continents.
