Finco to open two new resorts at Rs. 2.5 b

Finco Group on Thursday announced its diversification in to the local leisure sector with a new brand name and new resorts committing over Rs. 2.5 billion in investment.Known to be one of Sri Lanka’s largest private conglomerates, Finco launched its new subsidiary company Uga Resorts (Pvt) Ltd., under which the Group will concentrate on building eco friendly luxury resorts catering to a niche market of high end users.Uga Resorts, under which the luxurious ‘Ulagalla Resorts’ falls, will have two more under its portfolio – one in Kuchchaveli and another in Passikuda by end 2012. Overall the company hopes to add 150 rooms by end next year.
