Emirates customers can now accelerate the accumulation of rewards miles when they travel with the award-winning airline on the Colombo – Dubai, Colombo – Singapore and Colombo – Maldives routes or between Dubai and a number of popular destinations in Europe and Canada.
Passengers on designated flights to the respective destinations covered by this latest offer from Emirates’ Miles Accelerator feature can earn up to 10,000 bonus miles on return travel, in addition to the Skywards Miles they earn as members of the airline’s frequent flyer programme.
Valid for both return and one way travel, the bonus miles earned via Miles Accelerator can be redeemed for free air travel. The offer is available for passengers who make their bookings and purchase their tickets in October for travel in October, November and December 2011.
Sales Manager for Emirates’ in Sri Lanka Devika Ellepola said, “As this bonus miles offer coincides with the peak travel season, it will benefit a large number of our passengers. Features such as the Miles Accelerator present exciting opportunities for customers to earn free air travel, adding further value to our award-winning product.” Under Miles Accelerator, Economy Class passengers can earn up to 3,000 bonus miles in October and up to 2,000 in December on return travel from Colombo to Dubai.
Business Class passengers can earn up to 5,000 bonus miles in October, 3,500 in November and 3,000 in December for the same journey, while First Class passengers can earn up to 10,000 bonus miles in October and November and 8,000 in December. On return travel from Colombo to Singapore Economy Class passengers can earn up to 1,500 bonus miles in October and 2,000 in November. Business Class passengers can earn up to 1,000 bonus miles in each of the first two months for the same journey while First Class passengers can earn 4,000 bonus miles in each of the three months. Return travel from Colombo to Maldives can earn Economy Class passengers up to 1,000 bonus miles in each of the three months. Business Class passengers can earn 1,500 bonus miles on the same route in each of the three months while First Class passengers can earn up to 2,000 bonus miles in each of the designated months.
In addition to travel originating in Colombo to the specified destinations, bonus miles can be also be earned by travellers with Emirates on the Dubai – Paris, Dubai – Copenhagen, Dubai – London Gatwick, Dubai – Zurich, Dubai – Toronto and Dubai – Frankfurt routes, the airline said.
These bonus miles apart, passengers on Emirates flights also enjoy generous baggage allowances of 30kg, 40kg and 50kg respectively on Economy, Business and First Class. The winner of more than 400 top international awards, Emirates operates 21 flights a week from Colombo to Dubai and daily flights to Singapore, offering First, Business and Economy Class travel. The Emirates network now comprises 114 destinations on six continents.
