HSBC Signature cardholders, an exclusive circle of customers, have been offered a 10 per cent discount on Emirates First and Business Class travel from Colombo to ten popular destinations.

The exciting promotion valid from 1 April to 30 June is applicable for both return and one-way tickets purchased on-line via www.emirates.com/lk from 1 April to 30 June for outward bound travel made within the same period.

The 10 destinations covered are the Maldives, Singapore, Melbourne, Dubai, London, Johannesburg, New York, Dallas, Manchester and Frankfurt and the discount will be computed on the prevailing market fares.

“Emirates is already the airline that matches the lifestyles of this high-end segment of frequent travellers,” said the airline’s Sales Manager in Sri Lanka Devika Ellepola. “This offer helps them fittingly celebrate their status as HSBC Signature cardholders, just three months after the card was launched in Sri Lanka.”

She said the timing of the offer and the choice of destinations was also in sync with the travel preferences of the target group.

Members of Skywards, Emirates’ award-winning frequent flyer program, would be entitled to earn Skywards Miles on travel purchased under this promotion, Ellepola added.

HSBC Head of Cards and Consumer Assets Nadeesha Senaratne stated, “Since the launch of HSBC Visa Signature in January this year, we have endeavoured to offer tangible benefits to our cardholders. We are happy that Emirates has extended an additional discount to cardholders and hope they will make use of this saving in time for the upcoming Avurudu season and beyond.”

All First and Business Class passengers on Emirates enjoy a complimentary chauffeur-driven limousine service on arrival at their destinations, and are entitled to use the airline’s exclusive dedicated lounges at 31 international airports. On-board, they are treated to Emirates latest in-flight entertainment  system, ice Digital Widescreen (‘ice’ stands for information, communications and entertainment) that offers a staggering choice of over 1200 channels of entertainment, including over 300 movies from around the world, hundreds of TV choices and thousands of music tracks from contemporary to classical.

All HSBC Signature cardholders who avail themselves of this offer will be required to present their cards at the airport when checking in. Standard charges will apply for any modifications and changes of travel dates will be as per fare rules and conditions.
