Cathay Pacific Airways recently held its Passenger and Cargo awards at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo. The airline also celebrated its 70th anniversary of operations in true retro style with the top passenger and cargo agents in attendance.
Speaking at the occasion Regional General Manager – South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Charlie Stewart-Cox stressed the importance of the growing Sri Lanka market. He also highlighted the significant enhancements the airline had made to its product and schedules on the Colombo route over the last few years, which further testifies the importance of Sri Lanka for Cathay Pacific.
On the Passenger side, Classic Travels Ltd. was awarded the number one position while George Steuart Travels Ltd. was awarded second and Hemas Travels Ltd. came in third place. Certificates of appreciation for outstanding support was awarded to Gabo Travels Ltd., The Traveller Global Ltd., Metro Travel & Tour Ltd., Worldlink Travels Ltd., Mackinnons American Express Travel, Aitken Spence Travels Ltd. and 2nd Chance Travels Ltd.
On the Cargo side, Expolanka Freight Ltd. was awarded first place, Freight Links International Ltd. came in second, while IML SCS Lanka Ltd. was awarded the third position. Certificates of appreciation for outstanding support were awarded to TL World Ltd., Wings Logistics Ltd., Expelogix Ltd., Finlays Linehaul Express Ltd., MAC Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., P.N. Fernando & Company Ltd. and DHL Keels Ltd.
