Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts participated in the grand finale of the Miss England held in Birmingham, UK, before a 500-strong celebrity audience. Cinnamon was proud to be part of this gala event as per its agreement with the Miss. England Organisation. The eagerly-awaited event was covered by BBC and draws a wide global television audience. Leveraging further on its understanding with the Miss England Organisation, the newly crowned Miss England and Mr. England 2015 together with a few finalists will be flown to Sri Lanka for a lifestyle photo-shoot organised by Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts from 6 to 23 September. This prominent appearance by the Cinnamon brand at yet another high profile global event is a triumph for the brand and puts the spotlight on Sri Lanka.
Two local designers were also featured at the event with the Envoy London tuxedo collection showcased by Hameedia together with the work of Sonali Dharmawardena. Other partners included Be Candy Clothing, Mon Cheri and Billion Dollar Smile Cosmetics. The highlight of the presence of Cinnamon at the Miss England grand finale was the international media attention that the brand and the destination of Sri Lanka garnered. Cinnamon and Sri Lanka received major coverage from leading media channels such as Pukaar News, who will also be carrying full coverage of the Cinnamon photo-shoot with the Miss England winners in Sri Lanka.
Further attention will be focused on Sri Lanka by international media channels too such as ITV Gold from the US, who will be broadcasting the video documentary. ITV Gold boasts an estimated six million viewers across Canada and USA. This implies that the Miss England documentary will be broadcast in UK, Europe, USA and Canada, offering Sri Lanka immense favourable exposure.
