Chocolate is one of the most popular and yummiest types of foods that will likely stay at the top of most people’s favorite food lists.  Chocolate is something most of us have grown up enjoying, but very few of us have taken the time to learn the many facts that are associated with chocolate.

There are actually hundreds of facts that are associated with chocolate and Mount Lavinia Hotel has indeed taken the initiative to educate us about the nutritional values of chocolate and the many ways that chocolate could be complemented with to make it the most interesting and something you literally will crave.

“I probably have a little every day, because I think it makes you feel good when you get some.” Those are the words of a chocolate lover, when asked what their premonitions are on a chocolate-covered month.

Those sweet desires are not just imagined. Researchers have found that eating chocolate, the number one food craver, causes the brain to release endorphins, chemicals that make you feel good.

So MLH took this chocolate sentiment and created a month to totally feel good with a little bit of Mount Lavinia Hotel’s unique initiative to churn out unusual yet divine to all senses to create an unforgettable experience.

Some say it can’t be done, pairing wine with chocolate, but once the right wine is found to complement the right chocolate it can be a match made in heaven! Whether pairing a delicate white chocolate or a lively dark chocolate with wine, there are a few pairing tips that will be tried at the Mexican Slow Food Night with Chef Indika scheduled for 26 February where guests can indulge in a Chocolate and Wine pairing session topped with a Mexican slow food night.
