The Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) and the China Muslim Travel Association (CMTA) have sealed their tourism cooperation deal. The new partnership is deemed to boost tourism between Malaysia and China.
Tourism Malaysia Acting Director-General Datuk Azizan Noordin was quoted in eTurbo News that with the collaboration between these two associations, they expect 1.25 million visitors from China this year. Noordin added that China has consistently been among top 10 tourism generating markets for Malaysia.
The memorandum of cooperation deal makes way for the two associations to identify and remove barriers for Muslim travellers and increase the participation of MATTA and CMTA members in Malaysia and China’s travel fairs.
