Professional chefs from the renowned hotel chain The Chaaya Resorts and Hotels of John Keells are in London producing a gastronomic array of Sri Lankan delights for Londoners.
Together with the Park Plaza Hotel, a 14-day Sri Lankan Food Festival is now underway in Victoria, Central London.
The sponsors of the event are SriLankan Airlines and the Sri Lankan Tourist Board and together with Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner in UK Dr. Chris Nonis was inaugurated at an exclusive party on the opening night. Asanga Amerasinghe entertained the invitees with a live demonstration of ice carving. He carved a Lion Head from a massive ice slab
Along with the fabulous Sri Lankan buffet at £ 22.50 there is an assortment of arts and crafts on sale and a photographic exhibition by one of Sri Lanka’s premier photographers. The food festival ends on 14 March.
