Centara to open new resort in Mauritius

Centara Hotels & Resorts signed the management contract for a new four-star resort property in Mauritius, the Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius.

This new property marks the company’s sixth international location.

Centara Hotels & Resorts President Mr Gerd Steeb was quoted in Travel Daily Asia as having said that they have identified a gap in the market for a quality four-star beachfront family-friendly resort offering a choice of half-board or all-inclusive stays, and they are very confident in making this property their sixth overseas destination.

The Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius is set to open in October 2012 and will be located on a 500-metre stretch of white sand beach on the northeast coast of the island.

It will have its own diving reef and will be equipped with 98 guestrooms, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a theme restaurant, a beach bar and snack deck, spa, kids’ club, sea sport and recreation centre, and a recreation room and meeting rooms.
