Centara has opened its second resort in the Republic of the Maldives.

Located on an island just 15 minutes by speedboat from Male International Airport, the four-star Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives is set against a natural backdrop of a pristine sandy beach and a lagoon with a house reef.

All 140 suites and villas are designed to blend with the rich green interior of the island, while villas are available beachside or over-water, with the former featuring individual gardens and the latter having steps that lead directly down to the lagoon.

Both the beach and the water villas offer the option of an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Two options are available for accommodation. The Half Board Plus concept includes breakfast and dinner, with an open bar for three hours during evening mealtimes, while the All-Inclusive package includes all meals and a full open bar served from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Guests have a broad choice for dining. Oceans is the all-day restaurant, with a thatched roof and sand floor, serving the flavours of Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America. Suan Bua offers authentic Thai cuisine, Al Khaimah is reminiscent of a Bedouin tent and serves Middle Eastern cuisine, while La Brezza has a romantic view over the ocean, serves Italian cuisine with seafood as a specialty, and is home to the resort’s wine cave.

Spa Cenvaree, Centara’s own luxury spa brand, has its own dedicated area of beach and a relaxation pavilion, and there is a watersports and PADI dive centre.

Some of the best-known diving spots in the Maldives, including Giraavaru Cave, Kiki Reef, Kuda Haa, Lion’s Head and Shark Point are within a 20-minute boat ride of the resort.

The proximity of the island to the capital island of Male is another attraction for guests, with shopping and sightseeing trips arranged by the resort.
