Doha, Qatar: Qatar Airways was awarded Best Business Class and Best Middle Eastern Airline at the 2016 Business Traveller Awards held in London on 3 October.
The airline’s renowned high-quality service was once again recognised as it received the two prestigious awards, presented by British author and broadcaster Ben Fogle.
Qatar Airways offers Business Class passengers unrivalled comfort in the air and on the ground. On board passengers can relax in seats that recline into fully lie-flat beds, enjoy the convenience of all aisle access seating and an a la carte menu served on request by our award winning crew, and up to 3,000 entertainment options on individual television screens.

Premium passengers have access to a range of luxury lounges such as the Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Business Lounge in Doha, Heathrow Premium Lounge and DXB Premium Lounge in Dubai, all of which offer a selection of fine dining options and world-class facilities.
The awards ceremony, which has been running for over 30 years, was attended by over 300 industry leaders and the winners were voted for by readers of the international magazine.
The Best Airline Alliance was also presented to oneworld, which Qatar Airways has been a member of since 2013.
Qatar Airways recently accepted three separate accolades at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards held at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom. Air travellers chose Qatar Airways as the World’s Best Business Class, Best Business Class Airline Lounge and the Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East. The consumer-voted awards recognised the airline for its commitment to offering passengers an unrivalled travelling experience.
In 2016 travellers continued to see Qatar Airways expand its global reach, with over a dozen new destinations to explore. The airline has launched routes to Los Angeles (USA), Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Sydney (Australia), Boston (USA), Birmingham (UK), Adelaide (Australia), Yerevan (Armenia), Atlanta (USA), Marrakech (Morocco), Pisa (Italy), Windhoek (Namibia).Service to Helsinki (Finland) starts 10 October, with Krabi (Thailand) and Seychelles will follow later in the year.
