BMICH to host French Travel Agents Conference

BMICH is the venue where the French Travel Agents Conference – Les Journees des Entrepreneurs du Voyages (JEV) – will hold its annual conference this year from 31 October to 4 November.  It is an annual event held in a top tourism destination and Sri Lanka has received the honour of being selected as its venue this year.  

The JEV represents 1,400 tourism enterprises in France generating over Euro 24 billion in annual turnover.  Over 500 delegates, mostly outbound travel agents will visit Sri Lanka to participate in the Conference. The arrival of French tourists have increased by 13% with Sri Lanka becoming one of the safest places as a travel destination.  

The French Travel Conference will present an ideal opportunity to showcase Sri Lanka’s tourism-related products and services, particularly by promoting the MICE Sector or Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions and the Government has given top priority to the event. Sri Lanka’s target for this year is 2.5 million tourist arrivals.
