Aircraft manufacturer Boeing and Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) unveiled a Star Wars-liveried Boeing 787 Dreamliner recently based on the character R2-D2.
Video released by Boeing showed the extensive process used in meticulously painting the jet in the famous blue, white and black colours.
As the plane was rolled out of the hangar in Everett, Washington, characters C-3PO and R2-D2 watched the event.
ANA first unveiled in August this year it would be painting three jets with Star wars designs.
The Boeing 787 unveiled on Saturday is due to fly between Tokyo and Vancouver on October 18 and later to the Unites States, Europe and Australia from Japan.
The latest film in the series, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is due for release in December this year.
