The Court of Appeal directed to issue notice and fixed for support on 31 January for Interim Order in respect of the Writ Petition which impugned the tender for the provision of luggage wrapping services at the Departure Check-in area of the Bandaranaike International Airport.
The Writ petition filed by Airdora Ltd. which is currently operating from Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo, came up before Justice Arjuna Obeysekara.
Petitioner cited Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd., Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation Nimal Sripala de Silva, Sashini Fashions Ltd., its Managing Director Sameera Javigoda and 9 others as Respondents.
Sanjeeva Jayawardena PC appeared for the Petitioner.
Petitioner complains that the awarding of the said tender to provide luggage wrapping services at the check-in area of the departure terminal is illegal, ultra vires, unlawful, erroneous, arbitrary and irrational and has been made on extraneous and dishonest considerations.
The petitioner seeks the court to direct the Respondents to revoke the purported agreement and re-award said tender and agreement.
