SriLankan Airlines in a statement yesterday expressed its regrets at the inconvenience caused to their valued customers due to the continuing delays and congestion at Colombo airport.
“These delays were owing to a combination of unforeseen events, which include damage caused to one of their aircrafts due to a bird strike in Cochin, India,” it said. SriLankan requests all passengers to check in for their flights online, to contact their 24 hour call centre on 011-97331979 or their travel agent before going to the Bandaranaike International Airport. It is requesting customers to maintain an up to date profile – includingcurrent mobile numbers and email addresses – on‘FlySmiLes’, their frequent flyer program, to help them to contact you in advance to advise of any delays or disruptions to your flights.
SriLankan Airlines assures its passengers that they are working around the clock to restore normal services.
