Sri Lanka Travel Deals a destination marketing platform operated by Travel Lead Lanka Ltd., aims to facilitate the tourism industry by offering travellers a host of travel deals when planning their visit to the country.
Keeping in mind the fluidity in travel requirements and limitations associated with global mandates, Sri Lanka Travel Deals platform provides the security of working with experienced Destination Management companies (DMCs) that provide the highest level of service excellence to visitors.
“We recognised that there is a need in the market for a platform that can offer guests a way in which they can make an informed decision on selecting a particular travel package and this platform gives them the flexibly and confidence of a secure offer on a site which is user friendly” It also gives an opportunity to the DMCs to connect with these genuine leads with zero marketing effort, in order to develop their business and to gain a better revenue growth,” said Travel Lead Lanka Ltd., Managing Director Sharm Bastiansz.
With plans to focus on the key tourism generating markets, Sri Lanka Travel Deals will also look at potential new markets and those which are showing a quick recovery in terms of outbound travel and interest in South Asia.
Since early 2020, the global travel market has seen several changes primarily to adapt to the attributes associated with the ‘new normal’ for international and domestic travel.
“DMCs play a large role in the tourism industry of Sri Lanka and will continue to do so, especially in the present time when traveller confidence is necessary to combat uncertainties associated with COVID-19 protocols. This is where the platform will play a crucial role as we are offering DMCs the opportunity to come on board and highlight their offering to travellers,” said Director Dr. Charitha Perera.
“Clients on the site will be prompted to make an inquiry through the system as this is a ‘one stop shop’ and they will receive multiple quotations from handpicked DMC’s who are registered with us,” he added.
DMCs listed on the site have the opportunity of working with potential visitors who are interested in the destinations and have an opening to highlight their service offering and product portfolio. As a limited number of DMCs will have access to such potential inquiries, their conversation rates are expected to be comparatively high.
