Kuwait Airlines, the national airline of Kuwait and the world’s five-star airline, is set to spread its five-star wings all across exotic Europe this summer by introducing flights to the summer’s most popular destinations Athens (Greece), Vienna (Austria), Luxor (Egypt) and Sarejevo (Bosnia). Also, lined up to take off are flights to Malaga (Spain), Tblisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bodrum and Trabzon (Turkey) and Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt).
The introduction of these new destinations provides the seasoned traveller with a gourmet selection of premium destinations this summer. Athens, one of Greece’s most popular tourist destinations, the birth place of democracy and the heart of the ancient Greek civilisation, is home to many iconic landmarks including the Acropolis and the Parthenon.
Also joining Kuwait Airways line up of exotic destinations this summer is the must travel destination of Vienna, Austria’s capital, which lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Its artistic and intellectual legacy was shaped by residents including Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The city is also known for its Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn, the Habsburgs’ summer residence.
Luxor, on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. Located on the site of ancient Thebes, the pharaohs’ capital at the height of their power, during the 16th-11th centuries B.C. This must visit city surrounds two huge, surviving ancient monuments: graceful Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, and is only a mile away from the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.
Further eastward is Sarejevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a compact city on the Miljacka River, surrounded by the Dinaric Alps. Nicknamed the ‘Jerusalem of Europe’ centuries-old churches, synagogues and mosques abound. In the stone-paved streets of Stari Grad, shops and stalls selling rugs and coffee sets sit next to cafes, bars and nightclubs. Its centre has museums commemorating local history, including Sarajevo 1878-1918, which covers the 1914 assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, an event that sparked World War I.
These prime tourist destinations will all be serviced by the world’s five-star fleet which includes the airlines flagship Boeing 777-300ER aircraft operating out of Kuwait which is indeed good news for travellers.
