The east coast is a region where tourism booms during this time of year, however there is much to discover on the journey towards the coastal towns and Jetwing Symphony Chairman Hiran Cooray is ready to show guests a unique perspective of the less explored gems of our island.
The tour named ‘Journey to the East’ is the second installation of his tours across the country and is a five-day guided tour with Cooray from 22 to 26 September and will take guests on exciting excursions through Pottuvil and Wellawaya.
“There’s so much we have yet to discover that will make us appreciate our home and heritage even more. I’m excited to introduce my Sri Lankan friends to these unexplored parts of our island,” said Cooray.
The tour will consist of visits to ancient ruins, national parks and river safaris, with luxury accommodation and delicious meals at Jetwing Surf and Jetwing Kaduruketha along with return transport from Colombo for the price of Rs. 75,000 per person on double sharing basis. Jetwing Surf is a divine eco luxury resort in Pottuvil, from cabanas fitted with plush king-sized beds to an infinity pool by the sea with a pool bar under swaying coconut trees. Nestled in the midst of rolling hills, Jetwing Kaduruketha in Wellawaya has been designed to resemble a traditional village with rustic dwellings among lush paddy fields.
Cooray, a trailblazer in the Sri Lankan tourism industry, has visited nearly 100 countries and has been an avid nature lover since childhood. It was his passion to showcase Sri Lanka’s best that saw hospitality expand to destinations such as Wellawaya and Pottuvil.
Join Cooray as he invites you on a journey to some of the most wondrous yet unexplored destinations around the island, from exciting safaris, visits to archaeological sites, to immaculate beaches and lush paddy fields that span for miles, this is an exclusive adventure not to be missed!
