Handun Villas located in Talalla, celebrated its first anniversary this June with a simple religious ceremony blessing the hotel’s property and all stakeholders.
The boutique hotel opened its doors in June 2017 following extensive refurbishment that modernised the 120 year old manor while maintaining its original Dutch inspired architecture. The manor was originally part of a coconut estate that now makes up part of the grounds of the hotel.
Over the past year Handun Villas has worked towards creating memorable experiences for guests who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city to the simplicity of coastal village life. Families with kids are especially drawn to its expansive gardens where little ones can indulge in all sorts of outdoor mischief in safety.
Wellness is a habit at Handun Villas where the spa and meditation and yoga classes are favourites of guests who seek rest and rejuvenation. In addition the hotel offers wholesome home cooked food with organic vegetables grown in the gardens of the manor.
The hotel’s accommodation and amenities include eight villas, restaurant, wellness spa, pool, drivers accommodation and 24 hour security. The staff is friendly and always happy to help arrange tours for guests who wish to visit heritage sites and wildlife parks.
It has certainly been an impressive initial first year for Handun Villas and the following years will see the hotel establish itself as an integral part of Talalla’s landscape while expanding the hotel’s chain in the process. To find out more about Handun Villas visit: www.handunvillas.com.
