Popular destinations: Dubai, Rome and London
Whoever said “opportunity doesn’t knock twice” had not heard of Emirates, the world’s leading airline, which has just unveiled another opportunity for travellers in Sri Lanka to see the world at a significant saving in cost.
A two-day Super Sale in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (3) and Wednesday (4 December) offers Economy, Business and First Class travellers a chance to purchase tickets for travel with Emirates to popular destinations at up to 20% less than standard fares.
Embracing the spirit of giving associated with the festive season, these special fares will be valid for travel between 13 January and 30 November 2020, enabling travellers to save on their air travel.
Economy Class fares start at $ 241 inclusive of taxes (about Rs. 43,640 at current exchange rates) to Malé, $ 342 (Rs. 61,920) to Dubai, $ 493 (Rs. 89,260) to Milan, $ 509 (Rs. 92,160) to Rome, $ 646 (Rs. 116,960) to Zurich, $ 705 (Rs. 127,650) to London Heathrow and $ 732 (Rs. 132,530) to Barcelona.
All-inclusive Business Class fares start at $ 545 (Rs. 98,680) to Malé, $ 1,046 (Rs. 189,380) to Dubai, $ 1,797 (Rs. 325,350) to Nairobi, $ 2,212 (Rs. 400,490) to Rome, $ 2,270 (Rs. 411,000) to Paris, and $ 2,524 (Rs. 456,980) to Johannesburg.
For the first time, Emirates’ Super Sale will also be extended to First Class passengers, with all inclusive fares starting at $ 726 (Rs. 131,446) to Malé, $ 1,687 (Rs. 305,440) to Dubai, $ 2,744 (Rs. 496,810) to Nairobi, $ 3,463 (Rs. 626,980) to Rome, $ 3,511 (Rs. 635,670) to Frankfurt, and $ 3,614 (Rs. 654,320) to Zurich.
“For leisure travellers, the Super Sale can be thought of as an early New Year’s gift to oneself or a loved one, and it also presents an opportunity for students as well as business travellers to save on their travel costs in 2020 by booking early,” said Emirates Area Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Chandana de Silva. “With volatile exchange rates, fuel price fluctuations and demand impacting fares, we are offering a way to plan ahead and be ahead of the game.”
Members of Emirates Skywards, the airline’s award-winning loyalty programme, can pay for bookings using a combination of cash and Skywards Miles, further reducing the cost of the ticket.
Passengers in all cabin classes enjoy the friendly service from Emirates’ multicultural cabin crew, meals prepared by gourmet chefs, and more than 4,500 channels of movies, TV programmes, music and podcasts, including channels in Sinhala and Tamil on ice, the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system.
Emirates has been serving Sri Lanka since April 1986 and currently operates four flights a day from Colombo to Dubai, offering convenient connections to 159 destinations on six continents.
