eMarketingEye (EME), the award-winning Sri Lankan Digital Marketing Agency and a pioneer in the industry, announced a series of Digital Marketing workshops in collaboration with Google.
The workshops titled ‘Harnessing the Power of Digital Marketing for Hospitality’, will be spread across three days and will be the first of a series of invitation-only Free Digital Marketing workshops for the Travel and Hospitality industry in Sri Lanka.
The workshops are exclusively designed for hotels, tour companies and destination management companies operating in Sri Lanka that are looking to improve the Digital Visibility and Distribution Strategy.
Conducted by experts from eMarketingEye and Google, the workshops will provide the audience with latest industry insights on how to maximise revenue from digital marketing. They will cover a variety of Digital Marketing topics related to SEO, PPC, Social Media and measurement along with the latest industry trends and updates, backed up with case studies and interactive Q&A sessions. The workshops will be held on 20 to 22 August at the eMarketingEye Head Office.
Launched earlier this quarter, the EME Digital Academy was created with the objective of sharing the company’s knowledge in digital marketing with the industry. Following the downturn in the tourism industry caused by the security situation in the country, eMarketingEye decided to tap into its vast experience and unparalleled expertise in the digital marketing space to give back to the Sri Lankan Hospitality and Travel industry in order to help it bounce back from the drastic slump in bookings.
As the first step, at the ‘Sancharaka Udawa’ exhibition, eMarketingEye conducted a workshop on ‘Sri Lanka’s Digital Bounce Back Strategy for Hospitality’, which was based on a comprehensive impact analysis conducted based on over 100 hotels in Sri Lanka.
The ‘EME 5-Step Approach’ was formulated to give the Hospitality and Travel industry the ultimate digital recovery strategy to accelerate growth. Beyond the upcoming workshops, the Academy plans to expand the workshops with the help of key partners to reach out to audiences across other industries in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Expressing his views, eMarketingEye CEO Rajitha Dahanayake stated: “As a pioneer in digital marketing in Sri Lanka, it is our duty to enhance the knowledge levels in the Hospitality and Travel industry. This is especially important since the industry is still recovering from the drop in business following the unfortunate attacks in April and the subsequent uncertainty across the country.
“Given this backdrop, it is clear that the EME Digital Academy is a much-needed and timely initiative for Sri Lanka as tourism is one of the country’s biggest revenue earners. The Academy provides a platform for companies, initially in the Hospitality industry and subsequently in other industries, to obtain the most up-to-date knowledge on the rapidly-changing digital marketing space courtesy of world-class experts from eMarketingEye together with our global partners.”
eMarketingEye is the largest digital marketing agency in Sri Lanka and the only one specialising in the Travel and Hospitality industry. Established in 2007, the agency has grown to be one of the best in the Asian region over the past 12 years, having gained international recognition for its expertise in providing end-to-end digital marketing solutions to the Travel and Hospitality industry.
