Sunday terror attacks in the country. The Deputy Mayor held discussions with Tourism Minister John Amaratunga and the Cabinet Subcommittee on Tourism last week at the Ministry. The World Bank Country Director Dr. Idah Pswarayi-Riddihough, State Minister of Finance Eran Wickremaratne, State Minister of Tourism Ranjith Jinatissa Aluwihare and Tourism Advisory Body Chairman Harry Jayawardena also participated in the discussions.
Martins is the Deputy Mayor overseeing tourism for the city of Paris. He visited on the invitation of the Sri Lankan Government, to share lessons learnt from Paris’ own experience managing communications and security expectations following a series of coordinated terror attacks in the city in 2015.
