Angels Are Always Welcome is a newly-refurbished beach front, 12-roomed boutique hotel located on the Dutch Bay beach in Trincomalee. This establishment is owned by DSK and managed by Austrian national Lisa Nickels. Lisa wears many hats as creator of unforgettable meals, artist, interior designer, environmentalist and hotelier – she goes one step ahead of creating a tailor-made experience for each individual traveller.
“Our philosophy draws inspiration from the guest’s comfort and strongly believe in our team’s professional excellence to attain business success. We have created an exceptional place to stay, dine & play. We regard well-being as the new lifestyle. Thoughtful, often unexpected, our hotel and apartment design is never repeated but always remembered,” said Nickels.
Offering luxurious rooms with a range of modern amenities and unrestricted bay views consisting of six beach front suites with a family room equipped with a double bunk bed and as well as six west facing rooms that overlook the city-scape and the sunset. The guests also have the opportunity to rent an entire floor as an apartment with four bedrooms, pantry and dining room.
“As the Sri Lankan tourism industry prepares to emerge from the global pandemic, we hope that this hotel will hit the sweet spot for both overseas and local guests. We offer a custom made experience everyone ranging from the couple that wants to get away to the single digital nomad as well as the families that travel to get away from the post lockdown monotony. With our charming accommodation and the restaurant which caters to a wide variety of palates,” said DSK Managing Director Kris.
The soft opening of the hotel took place on 25 November amidst the dream team behind the hotel, family and friends of the management and well-wishers from the Trinco community.
DSK is a family of companies based in the UK and Angels Are Always Welcome is a collaboration between DSK and Lisa Nickels from Austria with grassroots in Sri Lanka.
