Karbonn Mobiles hosted its inaugural Distributor Conference in a grand manner at the Hotel Galadari Colombo recently. The event was a spectacular evening of elegance and entertainment and was a resounding success.

The primary objective of the night was to felicitate and reward dealers and distributors for their dedicated work and excellent performance which far exceeded the expectations and standards expected of them.

The event was held under the patronage of Karbonn Mobiles India Director Sashin Devsare, PCH Chairman S.H.M. Rishan and PC House Chief Operating Officer – Mobile Handsets Division Failan Saleem.

Commenting on the outstanding performance of Karbonn Sri Lanka, Devsare said: “Sri Lanka’s communication industry has grown from strength to strength in recent years, and we at Karbonn mobiles have seen this and seek to contribute to the industry’s growth by offering our customers the best choices.”

Rishan stated: “Despite the initial challenges faced, our dedicated sales teams have truly outdone themselves and secured a stable market position for the Karbonn brand. The phone has been well accepted across our customer segment due to its superior features and quality. ” Whilst many dealers were recognised and rewarded for their performances, the highlight of the evening was the crowning of the best performers with regard to business sales volume and territory coverage for the year 2010/2011 which went to SMP Communications Polonnaruwa, while the award for Most Outstanding Salesperson was given to B.K. Ajith Nuwan Kumarasinghe of Polonnaruwa and P.M.C. Nishantha of Kalutara was runner up.

From excellent dual SIM facilities, to long battery life, sound clarity and internet access along with the other standard features seen in top of the line phones, Karbonn offers it in a compact package that does not compromise on style and at prices that offer value for money.

In this aspect as well we are happy to announce that we will be introducing new models to the portfolio to offer even better features and more choice to our customers.” Karbonn Mobiles is the latest addition to the PCH product portfolio, and Karbonn Sri Lanka has shown rapid growth since its launch in September 2010.

PCH markets Karbonn mobile handsets, an Indian brand with the aim of tapping into a vast customer segment that is searching for products that offer more value for money. Presently over 100,000 Chinese mobiles are sold monthly island-wide and PCH looks to convert a large portion of this towards its modern, feature-full range of multimedia phones to offer more to the Sri Lankan consumer while focusing on phones that have a wide array of features to suit the diverse needs of individual consumers.

The new brand identity reflects the change from a family owned business to a public quoted company with a vision to be the benchmark in ICT in Sri Lanka. PC House PLC was incorporated as a limited liability company in the year 2000, after having commenced business in 1997 and following its listing on the CSE became PCH. Its Board of Directors consists of S.H.M. Rishan, Mangala Boyagoda, Sarath Wikramanayake, Modarage Thilakasiri, Shanti Kumar Nadarajah, Kuvera de Zoysa and Sharmila Rishan.
