Commonwealth heads, business leaders attend Presidential Business Roundtable in Hambantota

The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) round table discussion between heads of government and business leaders was held on Thursday under the auspices of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Magam Ruhunupura International Convention Centre (MRICC) in Hambantota. The CBF round table discussion is intended to create a platform for the Commonwealth heads of government and business leaders to interact and build partnerships for more investment opportunities among Commonwealth countries. The topics discussed at the meet varied from travel and tourism to banking and finance. Many business leaders shared their views on a variety of topics. Heads of Government and business leaders were particularly keen on strengthening Asia-Africa partnerships. A new chairman for the Commonwealth Business Council was also appointed at the discussion. Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development Dallahas Allahapperuma and outgoing CBC Chairman Dr. Mohan Kaul also joined in the occasion.
