The Cabinet of Ministers except Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa decided to resign from their portfolios after a late-night meeting held yesterday.

The decision came after a meeting that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa held to discuss the unfolding situation in the country.

They are expected to send their letters of resignation to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.
