GSK Sri Lanka celebrated World Planting Day 2022 on 21 March with a tree planting community event with the participation of employees and key healthcare organisations in Sri Lanka.
This event was organised in three prominent locations in Colombo, Galle and Kandy and a total of 300 trees were planted.
As a global leader in respiratory, GSK Sri Lanka’s aim is to create a positive impact within the community by protecting and restoring the planet's health to protect and improve people's health. World Planting Day might be just another day of the year while the actions inspired by it can impact a lifetime.
GSK Country Head Sunder Ramachandran said: “As a leading healthcare company we are committed to play our role in improving the environment in the communities where we operate. The world planting day is an opportunity to reinforce this commitment. We are also glad that several leading health care practitioners share this concern and joined hands with us in this initiative."
