Work begins on indoor cricket facility at Pallekele

The foundation stone laying ceremony of the Indoor Cricket building in Pallekele, Kandy was held last week. Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara, Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake, Member of Parliament Keheliya Rambukwella, Sri Lanka Cricket Interim Committee Chairman Sidath Wettimuny and Head of Cricket Operations of SLC Carlton Bernardus were present at the ceremony.

Giving the outstation cricketers the best facilities possible to reach their potential is the vision of Chairman Sidath Wettimuny. This is the second such facility to commence the first being R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The third facility will be at Dambulla said the Chairman of SLC.
