The pinnacle of men’s tennis has been dominated by just two men in the past three years. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have won eight of the last 10 grand slam titles with only Juan Martin Del Potro and Novak Djokovic able to dent the title-winning machines.

Talk of the demise of the pair seemed greatly exaggerated after they faced off in yet another final at the French Open, but for the first time there seems a genuine challenger to what were two unstoppable forces.
